Where does the idea that a body is meat for sale begin?

Where does the idea that every body has a price begin?

The society we live in is the defendant in the courtroom. Advertising slogans, glossy messages charged with sexuality, incite indiscriminate consumption: whether of a woman's body or a chicken breast. The possibility is the same: I pay, I can. The buying and selling, the whore-client relationship, is hidden, never exposed to the light of day. But the rules are the same as any other market. Or are they? A girl—needs money. A man—needs sex. The beginning is obvious. The rest? It's in the gaze of the judge.
