With a different theme every month, New Tricks keeps it real as the five rotating performers over forty take storytelling to a whole new level. They have the resilience, the humor and heartbreak that spice up their stories to create a uniqueness that only come with time. Going from humorous to reflective, heartfelt to inspirational, they highlight the depth that comes with age and experience.

In 2003, host Adrianne Frost got a little tired of doing storytelling shows where she was the only 50-something on the stage. She felt out of place, out of line, and out of sync. And she didn’t feel heard. Adrianne knew she wasn’t alone. She had a lot of storytelling friends who were over the age of forty weren’t getting tapped for shows because of their age or felt out of place being the only older performer in a twenty-something line-up, so she decided to start her own show: New Tricks Stories, a show for performers over forty for everyone to hear. The performers poured in, new and experienced. Almost four years later, it’s still running!
