Chris Turner: White Boy

  • SoHo Playhouse 15 Vandam St. New York City United States (map)

After five years of sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and award-winning tours to Australia and Europe; British improv sensation (and Oxford-educated white boy) Chris Turner makes his New York Debut with his most ambitious show yet:  a one-man comedy and hip hop spectacular.

Jaw-dropping freestyles, hilarious stand-up, and dextrous raps combine for an hour of high-octane musical comedy that will have even the most avowed Kanye-haters nodding their heads to the beat.

"The UK’s finest freestyle rapper" Metro

"A virtuoso...a hip-hop machine" The Guardian

"Mind-bendingly flawless" ★★★★★ Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

"Think rap isn't your thing? Take a deep breath and think again. Let Chris Turner freestyle his way into your schedule" Orlando Sentinel

CHRIS TURNER is a British comedian and freestyle rapper based in Los Angeles where he writes for Epic Rap Battles of History and performs at Comedy Clubs nationwide. Unabashedly the world’s greatest freestyle rapping comic, he has lent his talents to promotional campaigns by Coca-Cola, Toyota, Telefonica, and, in especially English fashion, Yorkshire Tea.

His quotable gags and sharp musical comedy have seen him rack up over 6 million views on YouTube; headline for 1 million Dutch comedy fans on RTL4's flagship stand up show, The Comedy Factory; and appear live on BBC Radio 2, 4, and 6Music.
